Made from protein fibers produced by silkworms, this durable, luxurious fabric leaves a sensual pleasant, velvety feel on the skin that’s light and flexible. It may also been treated with sizing and may have dyes that bleed.
How to wash:
Dry-clean or hand-wash in cold with mild detergent. For all silk items, use a mild, pH neutral cleanser. Dry clean or hand wash in cold to tepid (room temperature) water, washing one garment at a time or with like colors.
Lay flat or hang and air dry. For naturally dyed garments, please do so away from direct sunlight. Natural dyes are sensitive to extreme or harsh sunlight exposure over prolonged periods of time. To maintain your garments original color, we recommend drying your garment inside your home rather than outdoors. If you are line drying outside, please do so in a shady area.
Test for colorfastness (dip a cotton swab in detergent and hold it on an inconspicuous area for two minutes to see if the color bleeds).
When in doubt, dry clean. There are an increasing number of environmentally conscious dry cleaning facilities available now. We highly recommend seeking out and supporting these establishments!
Love and wear often. Following these tips will prolong the shelf life of your garment, which we have designed and made to be with you day after day, season after season. We hope you wear it in good health & happiness!
